International Summer Camp
Summer time usually means camp, and international summer camps offer opportunities to explore the world and experience different languages and cultures. The International Education Development Team at the School of Continuing Education is presenting a whole new summer camp experience.
The first and foremost purpose of this summer camp is to create a platform where learning and international academic and social exchanges take place. The camp is open for Taiwanese local and international high school students to join. There are three major components in this camp—courses for college readiness, academic English, and inter-culture experiences. This year, we will lead the students into the world of Python programming and AI. Participants will learn how to write python codes to achieve goals, such as doing calculation, shape drawing, etc., and learn how to efficiently use a wide range of libraries, such as Numpy, Prandas, Scipy, to easily build some interesting projects. Academic English and international social exchanges are integrated into the program.
Program Schedule
- Language requirement: Applicants are advised to demonstrate English language proficiency equivalent to CEFR B1 or above.
- Target Group: Grade 9~12
- Number of hours per week: Monday-Friday 09:00~12:00 and 14:00~17:10, total 30 hours (Including 2 hours final presentation and 1 hour ceremony commencement.)
- Dates: July 11, 2022~July 15, 2022
- Length of the program: 1 week program
- Costs: NT$ 22,000. (It includes a total of 32 hours of online professional classes, language classes, and cultural classes) The first 3 applicants will receive an early bird discount of NT$ 19,800.
